This morning didn't start off well.We have been having plumbing troubles.Something with the pipes being old.Anyway we had to do our laundry at the laundromat icky!I decided we should run over to the occ swap meet while our clothes were drying.We only shopped for a minute,but in that time I found a really cute vintage purse for 2 bones which I paid for in quarters.Yes!When we finished up there.We had been wanting to go to the farmers market so we picked up Andraya and headed over.We bought a few things that we needed for dinner and then walked around the harbor for awhile,that was nice.I realized I needed to return some books so we went home to get our bikes and killed two birds with one stone.After returning my already late items.We rode around the park.I wish days like today would last forever.

Better late then never ! Valentines day Shenanigans!

This is how I spent my valentines day.With some of the people I love most ! One of my very best friends Birthday party/ Brunch was held at The White House Italian Restaurant.We all had a lot of fun,and ate some really yummy food! Much fancier then I'm used to but had a blast all the same.It was beautifully decorated and each room had a different theme/ presidents name.We were in the Jimmy Carter Room.They were playing a lot of Frank Sinatra,Dean Martin,Mary Clooney and Italian opera really cool.Gwen Stefani has even been there.There was a wall of all the celebrities that have been there.Afterwards Andraya and I went home for some thrifting fun,and to bake heart shaped brownies! Diane and Gabe were off to finish the rest of their romantic day! =)

Isn't Love grand!So last night I stayed up late to help my sister with this little valentines project of hers.It turned out pretty cute and we made just in the nick of time.She had planned to post up all of her signs before her boyfriend rode home from work.On our way back we actually saw him,so we knew we had barely made it.She called him to see if he had noticed anything.He sounded really happy and couldn't believe she went through all that trouble for him.he said he thought it might be her but wasn't entirely sure until he saw his name! Awww !!!!!! So cute! =)

Wake Up ! Little One

I had the day off today.So I kinda slept in,but I had already made plans with my daughter to go to the movies.Plus it was really sunny and beautiful out.So we got up and ready for our day. Money is a little tight.Nothing new about that,so we headed over to the cheap theater.She wanted to see When in Rome.Me not so much,but I went for her.Turns out it wasn't so bad, I even laughed out loud a couple of times.After that we went home made lunch,did a little housework and baked a really awesome apple coffee cake.It was a pretty fun day!Now I must start my next project,Operation embroider Johnny cash's face portrait.We'll see how that turns out.

Still raining!

I tried to wake myself up early this morning,but that didn't work out.It rained most of the night and was still raining this morning.I felt so relaxed and warm I didn't want to get out of bed.So I lingered for a moment but then convinced myself I was probably missing out on some terrific finds.I sprang out of bed and headed out for my first sale.I only found two this weekend it's been rather slow in that department.I was a tad worried that maybe due to the weather they might be canceled.My first stop was in Costa mesa turns out I was right.I found the address,but there were no signs of a sale going on .So I headed to the next one.On my way back I spotted a sign for an estate sale that I didn't know about,so I threw a u turn and headed back! This place turned out to be amazing!I was so glad I stopped.This woman had a lot of vintage fabrics and trims ,books ,lamps ,jewelry and toys.I was in heaven,most things were priced pretty reasonably.Although there were a few things that I loved that were just too much money.all in all I would call it a successful day.=) Afterwards my sister and I went thrift store shopping and I found a really beautiful quilt.I can't wait to throw it on my bed!
